mortal sense vs. immortal frustration

The pulls and tugs of technical gadgets create an unheard amount of stress in our daily life.  There are all sorts of gadgets that promise to improve personal communication.  If we are not careful, these modern tools can be frustrating when they fail to work as promised.  Simply put, when the phone does not work or the internet is down, we loose our powers to speak anywhere anytime.  When they actually do work, we have this sense of mortal-omnipresence.  When they don’t work, we become surprised by our dependence upon technology.  Immortal-frustration is the consequence.   [geo]
